In one of the coursebooks they talk about 'boost company morale". When I looked "moral" up in the dictionnary, I made an interesting discovery!
English
French
the morale le moral
the moral la morale
How not to get confused!!
Example sentences:
English
And the moral of the story is that crime doesn't pay.
(moral = a practical lesson that a story,
an event or an experience teaches you)
The management want to improve staff morale.
(morale = the amount of confidence and enthusiasme that a person or a group
has at a particular time)

Why would I want to write a blog? It will probably not get noticed amidst the millions of other blogs on the web.
But I really think it would be a pity not to find a way to "remember" all the interesting things that come out of the English lessons, like:
- words that cannot be translated: either from French to English or the other way round
- very common mistakes; why it's wrong and how to say it correctly
- false friends
- interesting differences between English and French
- etc. etc.
