speed

Many
years ago, someone said to me: "Je suis très speed.".
I didn't know what she meant at the time, but now I do...
(But I would never use it myself!!)

How the French manage their own language is up-to-them, but I really don't like it if someone says:  "I am very speed".

The word "speed" is a noun, not an adjective. The translation of "speed" is "la vitesse".

So you would say: "The maximum speed of this car is 100 mph. or "The accident was due to excessive speed." or "It's important that students can progress at their own speed."

But how then would you say "Je suis très speed" in correct English??
